Sweet bell peppers sautéed with garlic and a squeeze of lemon.

  • 3 bell peppers (red, yellow, orange), sliced into strips
  • 1.5 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced (or 1/2 tsp garlic powder)
  • Squeeze of lemon (optional)

Steps

  1. 1 Slice the peppers into thin strips, discarding seeds and ribs.
  2. 2 Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high until shimmering.
  3. 3 Add peppers, salt, and pepper. Sauté 6–8 min, stirring occasionally, until soft and slightly charred at the edges.
  4. 4 Add minced garlic for the last 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. 5 Finish with a squeeze of lemon if using and serve.
