Pan-Seared Lemon Garlic Mahi-Mahi

  • 2 mahi-mahi fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 1.5 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 lemon (half juiced, half in wedges)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Steps

  1. 1 Thaw and pat fillets completely dry. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. 2 Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high until shimmering.
  3. 3 Sear fillets undisturbed 3–4 min until a golden crust forms. Flip and cook another 3–4 min until the fish flakes easily and is opaque throughout.
  4. 4 Lower heat, add minced garlic for the last 30 sec until fragrant. Squeeze juice of half the lemon over the fish.
  5. 5 Plate, spoon pan juices over, scatter with parsley, serve with lemon wedges.
